Vallon Pont d’Arc – Ultralight Trike

Vallon-Pont-d’Arc is situated at the threshold of one of the most beautiful tourist sites of France: “les gorges de l’Ardèche” (the Ardèche canyon). The famous Pont d’Arc, a natural arch of more than 98 ft height, carved out by the Ardèche and classified as Great Site of France, gave it its name.

In the near vicinity of the arch is the Chauvet-Pont-d’Arc Cave, containing the earliest known paleolithic cave paintings, about 30.000 years old.

An ultralight trike is a type of powered hang glider using a high performance Rogallo wing coupled to a propeller-powered three-wheeled undercarriage. While many powered aircraft have three-wheeled landing gear, the term “trike” refers specifically to the form of aircraft described here. The principles of this page can generally be applied to the single place ultralight trike and the two place weight-shift control light-sport aircraft.
